Where does it say “Jesus knew it was impossible to be made right with God?” Did He ever say that? NO.
Where does it say “no one can ever be made righteous?” NOWHERE!
Those are the excuses of people who have no faith in (and therefore, no understanding) who the real Jesus Christ is. I strongly advice NOT to add to God’s Words. He wouldn’t have said that if it was impossible!
John 5:14 “But afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, “Now you are well; so STOP SINNING, OR SOMETHING EVEN WORSE MAY HAPPEN TO YOU.”
If you want to call God’s Son a liar to justify your wickedness, then… what sorrow awaits you!
JESUS CHRIST MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO THOSE WHO SHOW FAITH IN HIM!
Jesus Christ died and rose back to life for that exact reason! To save us sinners and make us righteous by His mighty power! IT TAKES FAITH AND REPENTANCE!
It’s only impossible for those who try to achieve holiness by their own effort (works) – without faith!
Matthew 19:25–26
“The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked.
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “HUMANLY SPEAKING, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. BUT WITH GOD EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE.”
Romans 5:19
“Because one person disobeyed God, MANY BECAME SINNERS. BUT BECAUSE ONE OTHER PERSON OBEYED GOD, MANY WILL BE MADE RIGHTEOUS.”
Romans 4:4–8
“When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. But people are counted as righteous, NOT BECAUSE OF THEIR WORK, BUT BECAUSE OF THEIR FAITH IN GOD WHO FORGIVES SINNERS. David also spoke of this when he described the happiness of those who are DECLARED RIGHTEOUS without working for it: “Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight. Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of sin.”
Romans 1:16–17
“For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. IT IS THE POWER OF GOD AT WORK, SAVING EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES—the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God MAKES US RIGHT in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by FAITH. As the Scriptures say, “IT IS THROUGH FAITH THAT A RIGHTEOUS PERSON HAS LIFE.”
Isaiah 1:27–28
“Zion will be restored by justice; THOSE WHO REPENT WILL BE REVIVED BY RIGHTEOUSNESS.
BUT REBELS AND SINNERS WILL BE COMPLETELY DESTROYED, AND THOSE WHO DESERT THE LORD WILL BE CONSUMED.”
So it’s NOT the sinners who will inherit the earth and all God’s promises, but former sinners who were MADE RIGHTEOUS by their FAITH in Jesus Christ. They got baptized with the Spirit of Christ–– the source of their righteousness! They are no longer slaves to sin!
John 8:34-36
“Jesus replied, “I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. So IF THE SON SETS YOU FREE, YOU ARE TRULY FREE.” 🙌🏼
