22. Are there any verses of Satan lying to people in the Bible?

Lying is what satan does, constantly.

Revelation 12:9 “This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, THE ONE DECEIVING THE WHOLE WORLD—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.”

SATAN’S FIRST RECORDED LIES:

Genesis 3:1–5
“The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the Lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” “Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied.“ It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. GOD SAID, ‘YOU MUST NOT EAT IT OR EVEN TOUCH IT; IF YOU DO, YOU WILL DIE.’”
YOU WON’T DIE!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”

👉🏼 THEY DID DIE – SPIRITUALLY. SIN = DEATH.

    • Ezekiel 18:4 “For all people are mine to judge—both parents and children alike. And this is my rule: The person who sins is the one who will die.”
    • 1 Corinthians 15:56–57 “FOR SIN IS THE STING THAT RESULTS IN DEATH, AND THE LAW GIVES SIN ITS POWER. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

👉🏼 NO ONE WHO IS SPIRITUALLY DEAD CAN BECOME “LIKE GOD,” for God is HOLY and ALIVE, there is no evil in Him!

    • 1 Timothy 5:6 But the widow who lives only for pleasure is spiritually dead even while she lives.

👉🏼 “Your eyes will open.” NOPE. Quite the opposite.

    • 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see THE GLORIOUS LIGHT OF THE GOOD NEWS. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”
    • John 9:39-41 Then Jesus told him, “I entered this world to render judgment—TO GIVE SIGHT TO THE BLIND and to show those who think they see that they are blind.” Some Pharisees who were standing nearby heard him and asked, “Are you saying we’re blind?”
“If you were blind, you wouldn’t be guilty,” Jesus replied. BUT YOU REMAIN GUILTY BECAUSE YOU CLAIM YOU CAN SEE.”

That nasty voice in your head urging you to do wrong—it’s the same old devil trying to trick you.

RESIST THE DEVIL, AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU.
